INTRODUCTION:

The Kenya Centres of Academicians and Diverse Oriented Research. Established in April 2011, KCADOR has emerged as the leading school-based mentorship organization in Kenya, dedicated to nurturing a learner-centered approach that empowers schools and students alike to achieve academic brilliance.

OUR JOURNEY TO ACADEMIC EXECELLENCE:

Since its inception, KCADOR has been a beacon of transformative education, guiding schools on a journey towards academic excellence. Our commitment to fostering a dynamic learning environment is rooted in the belief that every student has the potential for greatness.

SOCRATIC METHODS AND CONFERENCES:

At the heart of our success lie the innovative KCADOR Socratic Methods of study and the impactful Socratic Conferences. These methodologies have been instrumental in elevating beneficiary schools from mean grades of 4 to an impressive mean grade of 10. By promoting critical thinking, collaboration, and a deeper understanding of subjects, we empower students to transcend traditional learning boundaries.

KCSE MENTORSHIP PROGRAMS:

Our KCSE mentorship programs have been a game-changer, achieving a remarkable 100% transition of examination classes to universities. Through personalized guidance and support, we pave the way for students to excel in their examinations, opening doors to higher education and a future filled with possibilities.

STABLE SUCCESS CULTURE ACROSS SCHOOLS:

KCADOR takes pride in cultivating a stable success culture across numerous schools in Kenya. Beyond academic achievements, we are dedicated to instilling values, resilience, and a passion for lifelong learning in our students, preparing them for success in an ever-evolving world.

THE SOCRATIC SCHOOL:

Responding to the growing demand for a model institution that embodies our successful methodologies, KCADOR proudly announces The Socratic School. Located in Eldoret – Kimumu, Hawaii RADA road, this school is a testament to our commitment to providing the best education in line with the Kenya Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC).

Named after our successful methodology and patron, The Socratic School is designed to help children practice these wonderful methods from a young age, laying the foundation for a holistic and impactful educational journey.

SUPPORTING SCHOOLS TO BECOME THE BEST:

Our journey doesn’t end with The Socratic School. KCADOR continues its unwavering commitment to supporting schools across Kenya in their pursuit of excellence. Mentoring your promising employees can benefit them — and your company. Mentoring means taking personal interest in seeing that a mentee develops the talent and knowledge needed to succeed — to have a successful career and contribute as much as possible to the company and society. Mentoring differs from coaching and advising in its emphasis on developing a personal relationship and advancing the career of the mentee. . .

The foundation for developing effective mentors is built on appropriate training sessions and clear directions, including thorough and necessary background checks and professional coaching, inductions and exposure programs. KCADOR will continuously train its trainers to ensure that they provide timely solutions to the mentees and schools. Successful mentors are those who possess warmness and are responsive to inferred needs of the mentee. . .

The most significant characteristic of KCADOR mentors is that they are goal oriented and seek  to develop a positive long term relationship with the mentee, That is, the mentor strives to establish a human connection with the mentee where empathy and understanding are key. The building of the relationship we seek likened to the building of a bridge between two people, something that takes planning, resources, and time to transport positive ideas and values to the mentee. . .

MENTORSHIP HAS LONG TERM BENEFITS

Schools can help students find mentors by connecting with businesses to offer work-based learning opportunities. These opportunities benefit students by allowing them to explore career pathways in real-world settings and connect with a mentor in the field. Businesses benefit by connecting with potential future employees.

The benefits of mentors for beginning teachers is widely known in educational circles. However, many of those same benefits apply to mentoring for high school students and even middle school students, especially those who are at risk of not graduating. School leaders can seek out community partnerships that create more mentoring opportunities.

Putting oneself in the shoes of the mentee is a key aspect of the relationship. Understand and evaluate the mentee’s situation while providing advice, coaching and guidance. Without understanding, any form of feedback and guidance may sound unrealistic, impractical and/or irrelevant.
